Artwork Frequently Asked Questions
How do I supply artwork for my order?
For your logo to be imprinted on promotional products, the artwork must be a vector file and created in Adobe Illustrator (Version 10 or less) or Corel Draw and saved as an .eps or an .ai file.
Your artwork should be converted to outlines to guarantee the fonts do not change.For four color process or photos, they need to be saved at a minimum of 300 dpi.If you do not have your artwork in this format and are unable to obtain it, we can redraw it for you in the correct format at a minimal cost.
If you personally do not have a file that fits theses specs, a marketing contact in your organization or the company that printed your business cards and stationery may have one.
What types of artwork will not work in their original format and will need to be redrawn?
Any Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher.)
Website graphics (GIF, JPG, BMP)
Photo editing software (Print Shop Pro, Paint Shop Pro, Digital Image Pro, Picture It!, PhotoImpact, etc.)
What if I do not have artwork in the format you requested?
If you do not have your artwork in this format and are unable to obtain it, we can redraw it for you in the correct format at a minimal cost.
We will review your design and suggest any changes needed to ensure that your text prints legibly.
How small can the text be in my artwork?
It depends on the imprint area of the item you are ordering. This information can be obtained from Customer Service at Authentic Promotions.com.
Help! I do not have any artwork at all; can you help me create some?
If you don't have artwork, it's not a problem. Outline what you are looking for or send us an e-mail describing what you're seeking. We're happy to help you out.
Do you charge for art and design services?
If your artwork is a basic design or line copy, and we can redraw it in house, there will be no additional charge. If we have to send your artwork off site to be redrawn, there will be a minimal charge depending on your artwork. You will be contacted before any additional charges are incurred.
Will I see an art proof before my order goes to print?
So that you can put your mind at ease, you will receive a proof before your order goes to print.
To whom should I send artwork for my order?
You should send artwork for your order directly to your sales consultant. When sending artwork, please reference the name and contact information of the organization ordering as well as the "artist" or art contact for us to speak with if we have any questions.
How long will you keep my art on file?
We keep your art on file forever.
What if I want a specific color match imprinted?
When color matching is available, there is typically an added charge to cover the cost of the labor and special inks required to custom blend your batch of printing ink for your imprinted product. This charge is also applicable on reorders.
If you do not have a specific color for your logo, there are "stock" imprint colors available for each product. There is no additional charge for printing your artwork using these standard colors.
For most promotional products, we use the (c) coated colors.
Do you guys guarantee an exact color match?
While we make every effort to match colors as close as is possible, we cannot guarantee that the color will match perfectly. In some cases, there may be a slight variation.
